This is my personal blog, a journey into interior design, that started very much in the closet and has gradually come out via instagram into a full blown hobby that i now share regularly with others. I often get asked where i sourced my paint, my pictures, how i created a room and so this I my way of sharing some of those ideas with you.

Given my background in starting up companies, I also want this blog to become a place to showcase new interior companies, to hear their stories and to share advice. Starting a business is daunting and if this blog does no more than to give them a leg up to find more people then I will have accomplished something.

The idea for the name of this site, came from friend of mine, Julie, and it is a play on the girl with the green scarf from Confessions of a Shopaholic, which i'm sure is absolutely not influenced by my liking of shopping at all. Naturally, the green sofa, is the one item in my home, that transformed me from someone who liked interiors to someone who often features on interior websites and magazines. This does not make me qualified to talk about interiors other than to give you my perspective, what I love and hopefully to give others the courage to show others what they love too.
