This beautiful Restored Vintage KitchenAid Electric Tilt Head K45 Stand Mixer is classic white, 250 watts, and comes with its original 4.5 qt Made in USA bowl and a new flat beater. This KitchenAid model was produced between the 1960's and late 1970's. There is no serial number (Hobart / KitchenAid used to not utilize serial numbers during production). This specific mixer was manufactured in the mid-late 1970's and still is still running smooth after all these years. This mixer is absolutely gorgeous, but being a 50 year old mixer it has experienced some wear so be sure to look closely at the photos. This restored KitchenAid mixer will last decades and continue to outperform other electric stand mixer brands, such as Sunbeam Mixmaster, Hamilton Beach, Oster, and Dormeyer when it comes to quality, durability, and service life. As part of my restoration process I completely disassembled this mixer, degreased the gears and motor, inspected all parts and seals to ensure any needed repairs could be made (this one was in great shape so none were needed), greased all moving parts and seals, inspected wiring, cleaned electrical contacts, assembled the mixer, then thoroughly cleaned the exterior using a three step process to remove grime, built up food, and grease/oil, while ensuring the original paint could be preserved. After all cleaning, servicing, and assembly has been completed, the final step is to calibrate the speed regulator and adjust the tilt of the head for the bowl. These two important details are looked over by many people, but I feel they are very important. First, calibrating the speed regulator ensures the mixer has a steady and slow stir speed when set to the lowest setting. Second, properly adjusting the tilt of the head ensures a narrow gap is maintained between the tip of the beater and the bottom of the mixing bowl, which ensures the beater doesn't contact the bowl at any speed. This vintage KitchenAid electric tilt head stand mixer runs smoothly on all 10 speeds and is still stable as a rock with paint still in beautiful condition overall, but does show some light scratches and marks. The power cord appears to be in good shape with some discoloration from age and use. I've disassembled, inspected, and thoroughly cleaned the mixer, accessories, and all nooks and crannies. Please look carefully at the photos as I've done my best to capture the various dings, scuffs, scratches, scrapes, and stains. Specifically I'd like to point out the scratch on the stand around the base, some marks on the front top of the head, and marks on the back of the head, and on the rear where paint has been worn down to the metal from the locking hook. As for the accessories: the bowl has scuffs from years of use but is still in great shape. The made in USA bowl has a couple very small dings that I highlighted in the close up photo. If you have specific photos you'd like to see please let me know and I can take them for you. This mixer has a beautiful aged look to it that would look wonderful in your home for years to come. This item is in perfect working condition and guaranteed to operate at time of purchase. Because this is a vintage item, no warranty is extended from myself or the manufacturer. Additionally, due to the shipping weight and time it takes to clean these mixers I do not accept returns.
