{HISTORY}

From the state that produced more clear glassware than any other area in the country, comes this beautiful floral pitcher and tumbler set. Made by the West Virginia Glass Speciality Company in Weston, WV, this set features the Radiant Rose pattern - a gorgeous bouquet of pink and red roses with olive green and avocado-hued leaves.

In the latter half of the 20th century, the state of West Virginia was producing 85% of glassware in America. One of its largest and most popular companies was West Virginia Glass Specialty Co., which made over 1500 different types of glass objects. Especially admired for their serving pieces that contained colorful decals and the unique handles designed to never touch the body of their pitchers, W.V.G.S.Co produced glass beverage sets like this one with a variety of different motifs including fruit, florals and wildlife.

Ideal for juice, cocktails, lemonade and flavored sparkling water, this set is the ideal companion for summer bar carts, patio entertaining, and garden party styling. Imagine cool glasses of pink lemonade on the porch gin and tonics served at cocktail hour citrus infused sparkling water for an after-dinner refresher. Beverages never looked so pretty!

{CONDITION}

In beautiful vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Bright clear imagery. The gold rim has rubbed ever-so-slightly on one glass in just one spot and there used to be a gold stripe around the neck of the pitcher. That stripe has now almost completely rubbed away with time leaving just a faint light grey stripe.

Each glass measures 5 inches (height) x 2.5 inches (diameter). The pitcher measures 10 inches (height) x 5 inches (diameter of opening). The whole set weighs 4.5lbs.
