Fabulous shape. The design is so outstanding, it is displayed in museums around the world, including The Smithsonian and Brooklyn Museum and many others. Black enamel Bakelite base, chrome top half and handle, enamel stopper on the spout and glass thermally insulated interior. It’s a great design, yet so practical. Manufactured by American Thermos Bottle Company in Norwich, Connecticut. It was originally advertised as the “Thermosphere.” It was designed by Arthur H. Payson, but it is often attributed to famed designer, Raymond Lowry. This is a rare find, especially in the condition this one is in. 6-1/8” in diameter x 6.25”H 7” frame handle to spout Black and silver tray 12”x 7.5” Four Farberware, Brooklyn silver stacking cups. Tray and cups are included.
