This afterschool art club is great for Renaissance school children to establish an art practice and build connections with Vibe's artist-teachers and fellow young artists. Artist teachers will bring in various mediums and techniques to share with students, and acknowledge students' interests and artistic choices. Our classes encourage kids to develop their visual thinking and critical thinking skills as they discover their own creative processes. They'll get comfortable making independent artistic choices and build skills to create increasingly complex pieces. We'll be doing drawing, painting, mixed media, printmaking, upcycled art and more.

Thank you for registering your child. • Late policy: For every 15 minutes that a child is waiting after the end of class/extended art, there will be a $5 late charge. Thank you for respecting the time of our teaching artists. • When packing snacks for your child after school, please note that the Vibe Studio is a NUT FREE space for the safety of some of our artists who have severe allergies. Thank you for understanding. Also, make sure your child is wearing clothes that can get messy!

Get your creative juices flowing at our Friday mixed-media workshops, where we'll dive into a fun-filled day of hands-on art exploration and experimenting. We'll explore a variety of techniques and materials to create our own unique works of art. Vibe instructors will give you the guidance and support you need to create something you're proud of. Join us for a day of creativity and expression!

Each Friday will present with a different project or theme.

This class is for students at Renaissance School of Art and Science only.

In this process-based, hands-on mixed media art camp, students will play with combining painting, drawing, and collage. Using a wide variety of media, students will experiment with creating texture, form, and composition.

This camp will focus on sensory materials and utilizing wild body movements to make art! Students will learn about techniques developed in the abstract expressionist movement such as action painting, color fields, splatter paintings, and body art. We'll begin an introduction to color theory and learn to mix our own paint. Students will utilize these techniques to create their own abstract masterpieces! We will also experiment with various sensory materials such as air-dry clay, slime, and paper mache. Ages 5-8.

We all know a kid who takes toys apart to see how they work, so we made an exciting class with them in mind. We are going to learn how to make art that moves! We’ll go over several mechanisms and use simple materials so you can continue exploring if you want. It will be hands-on, entertaining, and require patience and attention to detail. See you there!

Guided by our teaching artists, we'll explore basic engineering concepts in addition to working with different materials, and bring mechanical creations to life. From buzzing bots to dancing gizmos, each day promises a new adventure in the exciting realm of automaton creation.

Join us for a week of fun and learning as young artisans craft their unique masterpieces using colorful beads, sparkling gems, and various materials. Vibe teaching artist will guide them through the fascinating art of jewelry design, fostering imagination and fine motor skills. From bracelets to earrings, every child takes home not just jewelry but also cherished memories of a craft-filled adventure.
