The blade was impressively sharp for the price, and it did well on most of our tests. But the bulky handle felt heavy, and the shape made peeling and deveining shrimp awkward..
For a four-inch pairing knife, the handle is oddly long and uncomfortable to hold for long periods..
With an included knife guard, the four-inch Kuhn Rikon pairing knife is good for travel. Its plastic handle could use improvement.
